Hello and Happy New year,
I hope you all enjoyed soem relaxing time with your families over the Winter Break. I can't believe it is already 2017; the last semester of your child in elementary school. It goes by so fast :(
Over break I was able to look back at the first semester and find some areas I wish to improve on during the second semester and set some goals for 2017. One goal in particular is to include more science and social studies text during the second half of the year.
I was also able to spend some time in the classroom organizing and going through materials. It is usually about this time that we begin to run out of classroom materials. Overall we are doing very good. I peaked through student desks and did notice that many students are getting low on room in thier math and language arts notebooks. You may want to pick up a couple of single subject notebooks for the second half of the year. I also noticed that we are very low on dry-erase markers. These are items the students use almost daily. It is really nice for students to be able to use thier whiteboards for practice as it cuts way down on paper use. If you are able to supply your child with notebooks and dry erase markers, it would be much appreciated. Of course any donations of these items are also appreciated.
I am really looking forward to a terrific 2017. If you have an questions please feel free to contact me through email at [email protected] or you can call me at 928-660-3033 (cell) or 520-625-3502 x1200 (school). Again thank you for all of your help and support during the first half of the year and, I look forward to working with you during the second half.
Thank you,
Adam Johnson
